Kannada TV actor Sampath J Ram dies by suicide at 35

Kannada television actor Sampath J Ram died by suicide at his home near Bengaluru’s Nelamangala on Saturday, as per reports. He has acted in films and TV shows such as Agnisakshi and Sri Balaji Photo Studio.

It is suspected that the actor was concerned over not getting enough work opportunities. In a post, his friend, actor Rajesh Dhruva, confirmed the news of Sampath’s death. In the post in Kannada, he wrote, “We don’t have the strength to bear your separation. So many films are to be made yet. So many fights are left to be fought. There is still a lot of time to make your dreams come true. We still have to see you on the big stage. Come back please.”

While there has been no comment from his family, many other celebs from the Kannada TV industry also mourned his loss. His last rites took place at his hometown of NR Pura. He is survived by his wife. The actor got married last year.

Speaking to ETimes, Sampath Jayaram’s Agnisakshi co-star Vijay Suriya said that the late actor was waiting for good offers and was disappointed he was not getting good work.
