Katy Perry stays away from Twitter when drunk

The 25-year-old singer is addicted to the social networking site and keeps updating her Twitter profile with her latest thoughts and whereabouts,but admits that her compulsion can sometimes go too far.

In order to make sure that she doesn’t embarrass herself with candid posts while enjoying a drink with friends,she prefers that they keep her phone away from her.

“Sometimes,whenever I go out — not when I’m on tour but when I’m at home and I’m out and I’m celebrating — if I have a couple of drinks my friends will take away my phone in fear of me buzz-Twittering (updating drunk) because you never know what I might say. And I’m glad they do it too,” said Perry.
