Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif have announced the name of their newborn baby boy in their latest Instagram post. Katrina and Vicky, in a joint post, revealed that their son’s name is Vihaan Kaushal. The actors also shared the first glimpse of their little munchkin along with the announcement. The name Vihaan is of Sanskrit origin and means “dawn,” “sunrise,” “morning” or “beginning of a new era.”

The photo shows Vihaan’s tiny hand resting on Vicky and Katrina’s hands. Sharing the picture, the couple wrote, “Our Ray of Light ❤️ Vihaan Kaushal विहान कौशल Prayers are answered Life is beautiful Our world is changed in a instant Gratitude beyond words.”

Fans were quick to jump onto the name’s URI connect. Vicky’s name in his blockbuster hit URI: The Surgical Strike (2019) was Major Vihaan Singh Shergill. The film’s dialogue ‘How’s the josh?’ became a pop culture moment.

Hrithik Roshan was among the first to congratulate the couple, “God bless !! Welcome Vihaan ❤️ amazing news ! Congratulations and love.”

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif welcomed their baby boy on November 7, 2025. Prior to that, the couple had also announced Katrina’s pregnancy on Instagram. They shared a photo of Vicky cradling Katrina’s baby bump. The caption read, “On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude. 🙏🏽”

Vicky and Katrina tied the knot on December 9, 2021, in a beautiful and private ceremony in Rajasthan. Recently, the couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary, and Vicky shared a photo with Katrina, opening up about how they have been sleep-deprived after the arrival of their baby. The caption of the picture read, “Celebrating today. Blissful, grateful and sleep-deprived. Happy 4 to us.”
