Yash skips fan meet on 40th birthday to finish Toxic: ‘Will meet in a much bigger way’

As fans eagerly wait to meet ‘Rocking Star’ Yash on his birthday on January 8, the actor recently took to Instagram to announce that he will not be able to meet his fans on his 40th birthday. He apologised for the same and explained that he is fully immersed in completing his film Toxic so that it can release on its announced date of March 19, 2026.

Yash took to his Instagram Story and wrote, “To my dearest fans, honestly am deeply aware of how you’ve been waiting to meet me over the last few years. Trust me, I’ve been longing to see you all just as much. I truly wanted to make it happen this year on my birthday, but I am fully immersed in finishing the film to make sure it’s ready for you in theaters on March 19th, 2026. Because of this, I won’t be able to meet you in person just yet. Even though we couldn’t make it happen now, I promise to make it up to you. We will meet in a much bigger way, very soon. In the meantime,l will be personally looking through all your wishes and cherishing every bit of the love you send. Yours, Yash.”

Though fans will not be able to meet Yash on his birthday, the makers of Toxic have announced that they will release the film’s teaser on the special day. On Wednesday, the team shared a new poster of Toxic, featuring Yash walking through fire. Along with the poster, they also announced the teaser release date — January 8 — and revealed that the video glimpse will be out at 10:10 am.

Recently, posters of Toxic covered Bengaluru Metro stations to celebrate the actor’s birthday and the arrival of his new film. Fans also put up several large hoardings across the city to mark the occasion.

Toxic is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu. The film also stars Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Kiara Advani and Tara Sutaria in key roles. It has been filmed simultaneously in Kannada and English. The film is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
