I don’t open my mouth unnecessarily: Vidya

She may be the new femme fatale on the block, but Balan admits that in real life she doesn’t open her mouth.

She may be the new femme fatale on the block, sweet talking her way into two men’s heart in her upcoming film ‘Ishqiya’ but actress Vidya Balan admits that in real life she doesn’t open her mouth unnecessarily.

‘Ishqiya’ is up for release and if promos are any indication, the film is making a statement with its explicit dialogues.

With names like Vishal Bhardwaj,Naseeruddin Shah,Arshad Warsi attached to the film one wonders was there really a need of such on-your-face promotion of ‘Ishqiya’ with sexual overtones.

So when asked the film’s leading lady that did she run the risk of being embarrassed considering her traditional girl image? Vidya said that she was totally on board with directer Abhishek Chaubey and supported the way film is being pitched.

“What makes you think that I am not. By no means am I implying that I am unhappy with the way the film is being pitched. The best part about the makers is that they kept me in loop throughout about what was happening,” Vidya said in an interview.

However, the actress added that it is not in her nature to give an opinion if not asked to.

“If I had an opinion,I could voice it to Vishal and Abhishek. But other than that,I don’t get into specifics unless asked for and of course don’t open my mouth unnecessarily,” Vidya said.
