Deepti-Farooque together after 20 years

Deepti Naval and Farooque Shaikh will be seen as a couple in Hema Malini’s home production Tell Me Oh Khuda. The two are playing foster-parents to Esha Deol who is in search of her biological father in the film. It will be after more than two decades that the popular duo of films like Chashme Buddoor,Katha and Rang Birangi of the early ’80s,will be acting together. “Farooque and I were not really in touch except for the occasional meeting at functions. It was nice to be on the sets together after all these years. It brought back a lot of memories,” said Deepti.

Rani to play mother in Reema Kagti’s film
While Kareena Kapoor is the female lead opposite Aamir Khan in Reema Kagti’s as yet untitled thriller,according to a reliable source Rani Mukherji will play mother to a 10-year-old child in the film. This will be the second time Rani will essay the role of a mother,she earlier played a mother’s role in Tara Rum Pum. The shooting of the film,which started early March in Mumbai,was a hush-hush affair,and was scheduled at nights. Presently the movie is being filmed in Pondicherry.
