AIBE 20 Result 2025 declared; 1.74 lakh candidates qualify

AIBE 20 Exam Result 2025 Out: The Bar Council of India (BCI) on January 7 announced the AIBE 20 results and released the scorecards. According the Bar Council, a total of 2,51,968 candidates appeared for the AIBE XX, out of which 1,74,386 candidates, or 69.21% candidates have qualified the examination. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their results and scorecard on the official website at allindiabarexam.com.

The All India Bar Examination XX was conducted on November 30, 2025, across 399 examination centres nationwide. Earlier on Tuesday, the BCI uploaded the AIBE 20 final answer key. As per the final answer key, a total of 20 questions have been dropped from the examination.

Following the examination, a Monitoring Committee reviewed the objections submitted by candidates. Based on this review, five questions were withdrawn from the original set of 100 questions. In addition, for two questions where more than one option was found to be correct, the Committee decided to award full marks to candidates who selected either of the correct answers. As a result of these revisions, the final evaluation has been carried out on 95 marks.

AIBE 20 Results Out: How did students perform?

Male candidates have a higher overall number of both appeared and qualified candidates compared to females, with 165,613 males appearing for the exam and 52,547 qualifying.

Female candidates, with 86,336 appearing and 25,547 qualifying, make up a smaller portion of the qualified candidates in comparison to their male counterparts.

Transgender candidates showed a minimal representation with 19 appearing, 13 qualifying, and 6 not qualifying.

The result notice also noted that three candidates’ OMR sheets were not counted as they were not received, which could slightly affect the total numbers.

As per the qualifying criteria, candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories are required to score 43 marks, which is 45 per cent of 95 marks, to clear the examination. For candidates from the SC, ST and PwD categories, the qualifying cutoff has been fixed at 38 marks.

The AIBE 20 scorecard, which is expected to be released shortly, will contain details such as the candidate’s name, roll or registration number, marks obtained, qualifying status, category-wise cut-off, photograph and signature. Candidates who qualify will also see confirmation of their eligibility for the Certificate of Practice (CoP). Aspirants are advised to keep checking the official website regularly for the latest updates on the result and scorecard release.
