Clooney starrer ‘The Descendants’ to close NY film festival
Festival's main slate consists of 27 feature films including works by masters like Roman Polanski and Jafar Panahi.
George Clooney starrer ‘The Descendants’,about a father’s attempt to connect with his two daughter following his wife’s accident,will close the 49th New York Film Festival.
The film has been directed by Alexander Payne,who is returning to the festival for the third time.
The festival’s main slate consists of 27 feature films. This year’s festival will also feature works by masters like Roman Polanski and Jafar Panahi,the Hollywood Reporter said.
“We are delighted to welcome back Alexander Payne to the New York Film Festival. Payne’s nuanced character studies capture the moral chaos lurking just below the surface of everyday American lives,” said Rose Kuo,executive director at The Film Society of Lincoln Center.
