Christian Bale sheds weight for new role

‘Batman’ star Christian Bale’s emaciated appearance is sure to shock his fans as the star has shed a lot of weight to play a drug addict in a new drama. The actor was hardly recognisable on Monday when he was photographed walking in a street in Los Angeles,where he is shooting for ‘The Fighter’ which sees him play boxer Dickie Eklund,reported Contactmusic.

Bale who is known for his method acting had previously shed the pounds for his role in the 2004 film ‘The Machinist’. He is now on a severe diet regimen to play Eklund,a welterweight boxer whose career ended in 1985 owing to drug addiction.
