When a Twitter user asked Agnihotri to clash his film with Jawan if he has the “guts”, the filmmaker replied, “We aren’t in Bollywood game and terms like ‘clash’ etc. are for stars and media. I can guarantee S RK’s Jawan will be an all-time blockbuster. But after seeing it please also see our small film about India’s greatest victory in a war you know nothing about. #TheVaccineWar”

In another tweet, when a user asked him to not clash his film with Salaar, the director said his film is a “small content driven” movie targeting family audience. “Clash is always between titans. We are very different. #TheVaccineWar is a small, content driven film for the family audience. You would love to show it young children. He will be proud of India and its WOMEN scientists.”
The director said India is a diverse country where there is space for all kind of audience and not everyone would want to watch an action film. “Not every family wants to take their children to maar dhaad films. Some like to show films to children that inspire, educate and enlighten. #TheVaccineWar #ATrueStory.”
Agnihotri said he has mounted The Vaccine War on a budget of Rs 10 cr, lesser than that of his last hit The Kashmir Files.
