Vikrant Massey and his wife Sheetal Thakur welcomed their son, Vardaan, in 2024, and in a recent interview, Vikrant opened up about his fatherhood journey. But, he was quick to add that the contribution of the mother is unmatched compared to a father, as he recalled that his wife went through 30 hours of labour. Vikrant also opened up about his relationship with his wife. He laughed and shared that she gets upset when she has a dream about Vikrant where he is talking to another woman.

Talking to Ranveer Allahbadia, Vikrant shared, “Marriage is a constant work in progress, pouring energy in all possible ways.” He said that while he was slightly hesitant about committing to a long-term relationship when he was younger, he always “wanted to have a family, build a family so when I met the right person, I was not commitment-phobic.” Vikrant also spoke about his wife’s pregnancy and said that he had immense respect for her for going through 30 hours of labour.

“During the nine months of pregnancy, to see Sheetal… and I have known Sheetal for more than 10 years. To see that little girl, to see her belly grow day by day. She went through 30 hours of labour I think. I mean women endure a lot,” he said and added that nothing, done by men, “can even come close to it.” He also shared that it was his wife who named their son Vardaan.

Vikrant Massey was also asked about dreams and if he has ever analysed his dreams. While he said that he has never placed importance on them, his wife gets mad at him when she has a dream where he might be talking to another woman. “The other day, she actually had a dream that I was on a hike with some pretty girl, and she was calling out my name, and I am not responding in her dream and I’m just walking further and further away. She woke up and she fought with me over a dream,” he said with a laugh.

This year, Vikrant won a National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in 12th Fail. He only had one release in 2025, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, also starring Shanaya Kapoor.
