On Wednesday, a section of the media reported about Uorfi Javed being detained in Dubai. Reportedly, her revealing costume during a shoot had caused the police to intervene. However, sources told indianexpress.com the matter was trivial, and has already been sorted. Uorfi had even left for Baku to complete her shoot.
On Thursday morning, the actor released a statement sharing that the police had come on the set because of a logistics issues. She also added that the matter had nothing to do with her clothes.

“The police had arrived to stop the shoot because of some issues at the location. There was a time till when we were allowed to shoot as it was a public place, the production team didn’t extend the timing, hence we had to leave. It had nothing to do with my clothes at all. We shot the remaining part the next day so it was all sorted,” Uorfi Javed said in a statement.
Uorfi is often trolled for her sartorial choices and is a favourite among the paparazzi. Pictures and videos of her DIY outfits flood Instagram pages daily. Uorfi is currently in Azerbaijan.
For the unversed, it was reported that as Uorfi was shooting in a public place, her attire had raised eyebrows in the city. It was also said that the police were questioning the actor and her return to India could also be postponed because of the same.
Having rose to fame via minuscle roles in TV, Uorfi Javed was also seen in Bigg Boss OTT. Her bold avatar and self-styled costumes have assured that she’s always in the limelight. Recently, she was caught in a controversy after author Chetan Bhagat said at an event that she was ‘distracting’ young men. Uorfi’s spirited response to his claims won her appreciation.
A favourite among fans, Uorfi, in an interview with us, had said that there are many like her who may not afford expensive outfits all the time but that shouldn’t stop them from experimenting. “I took up the DIY approach as I wanted to have the best clothes but don’t have that kind of money. Also, not everyone can afford big brands, and this is why first copies sell so much. I think there’s nothing wrong with it and I hope girls can understand that money is not everything for style, sometimes it’s all about creativity. I hope I can take this thought ahead and someday launch a fashion line,” the Puncch Beat actor said.
