Tiger Shroff on Ganapath co-star Kriti Sanon’s National Award win: ‘She has become such a big star and still…’
Remembering Kriti Sanon debuting in Hindi films with him in Heropanti in 2014, Tiger Shroff said, "In Heropanti woh chhoti bachi thi, now she has become a superstar."

Actor Tiger Shroff promoted his upcoming film Ganapath in Mumbai on Tuesday. The actor praised Kriti Sanon, his co-star in the Vikas Bahl directorial, for her National Award win. National Awards were conferred on Tuesday in Delhi by President Droupadi Murmu.
Remembering Kriti debuting in Hindi films with him in Heropanti in 2014, he said, “Kriti just won a National Award. In Heropanti woh chhoti bachi thi (she was a small girl), now she has become a superstar. I don’t know why this dialogue, ‘Chhoti bachi ho kya’ went viral… But I’m very happy, it has been an amazing experience working with Kriti Sanon, she has not changed. She has become such a big star and she is still the same, of how she was in ‘Heropanti’. We are working after nine years but it didn’t seem like that, it seems we just worked yesterday. Nothing has changed.”
Talking about the upcoming film, he said, “Ganapath is a different film for me, we are trying to show a new world, it has a different kind of action, it has a beautiful love story and finally working with my heroine, Kriti Sanon after ‘Heropanti’, after nine years. I was very excited to work with her. I’m excited for you all to watch Ganpath, hope you guys enjoy it.”
Tiger then spoke about Amitabh Bachchan’s role in Ganapath and shared that he has not shared the screen with the veteran.
“Unfortunately, I didn’t get to do scenes or share screen space with him. But just being in the same film with him is a big honour for me, as it is for any actor who gets to share the screen with a living legend like him. I’m blessed and grateful that I had this opportunity.”
Ganapath, directed by Vikas Bahl, stars Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles. The film is set to release in theatres on October 20.
