Even before her acting debut, Suhana Khan has bagged a brand endorsement deal. The daughter of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan was announced as one of the ‘Squad’ members of a cosmetics brand on Tuesday evening. Set to make her film debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, Suhana’s big unveiling event left her fans delighted.

The event marked Suhana Khan‘s first official media appearance. After a paparazzo account posted a video of Suhana on the stage, expressing her excitement about being chosen as the brand ambassador, social media users started sharing their opinions. While Suhana’s fans were overjoyed for her big launch, and also to hear her speak publicly for the first time, others questioned why she was being elevated to such a pedestal even before her film’s release. “Go girl… ignore haters,” one fan commented. “She is all set to become an actor and deserves to be a brand ambassador. That’s how business works,” wrote another, and a third person commented, “She is so graceful and pretty. Love her so much.”

At the event, the actor said on stage how she feels honoured to be the brand ambassador. She also said she’s excited for the commercials to drop. Apart from Suhana, ace badminton champion PV Sindhu, MTV Supermodel of the Year Eksha Jerung and singer Ananya Birla were also announced as the new faces.

Suhana, who has trained in acting in New York, will star alongside a host of newcomers in The Archies. The film will also feature other star kids such as Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda. Post the film, there have also been rumours of Suhana and Agastya dating, though neither of them has spoken about it.

Recently, Suhana Khan became a topic of controversy after mother Gauri Khan didn’t allow her to be interviewed by Anusha Dandekar at the NMACC opening event. After the video went viral, many social media users called Gauri rude for not letting Suhana talk to Anusha. Others slammed Anusha for forcing Gauri and Suhana to give bytes. With several negative comments surfacing, Anusha called out trolls and wrote that sometimes celebrities don’t like talking on the red carpet and other times they prefer talking when their films are about to release.
