As Saif Ali Khan recovers from a knife attack at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, fans have been relying on updates from his family members. Recently, the Cocktail actor’s sister, Saba Pataudi, visited him at the hospital and shared that he is ‘recovering well’ while maintaining a positive outlook.

Saba posted a photo of herself with a plaster on her hand, revealing her own recent injury. She expressed how the family has been staying united during this tough time and wrote, “SO good to be back and spend time with bhai. Happy to see him stay positive and recover gradually and steadily during the past 2 days. While I didn’t realise I’d fractured my finger until recently… Glad to be with family! Always together.” According to an India Today report, Saif is likely to be discharged today between 10 am. and 12 pm. Dr Nitin Dange of Lilavati Hospital confirmed the news to the publication.

On Monday, Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, shared her frustration with sustained media invasiveness. She slammed the paparazzi for invading her family’s privacy during this difficult time. She posted a now deleted video that showed toy cars being delivered to the building where Saif and Kareena reside. The caption of the video read, “New toys arrive for Taimur and Jeh at their residence.” Kareena reshared the video and added, “Stop this now. Have a heart. Leave us alone. For God’s sake.”

The attack on Saif Ali Khan occurred during a failed robbery attempt at his residence. He was stabbed by an intruder, allegedly named Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, and sustained significant injuries, including a thoracic spine injury that caused a spinal fluid leak. The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in an autorickshaw around 2:30 am and underwent two surgeries—neurosurgery and plastic surgery. The attacker was apprehended in Thane on Saturday night. According to police officials who spoke to The Indian Express, the suspect reportedly confessed to the crime.
