Ranveer Singh: There is a dearth of unique stories and writers in our industry

“I want to try and give mainstream credibility to unconventional subjects,’ said Ranveer and added, “I want to have that balance of a credible film that also has its commercial chops in the sense that it appeals to a broad audience and having a wider appeal. I find myself being drawn more and more to films that have wide appeal and it doesn’t necessarily mean that they have to be brainless but I find myself committed to putting things out there that entertain a broad spectrum of audience so that kids as well as adults also watch it. Talking about how he plans to do the same, Ranveer said, “I will play and see how things go but I am committed to empowering unique and unconventional subjects and giving them mainstream appeal by attaching myself.”
