Pop Kaun trailer: Satish Kaushik’s last comedy show promises to be an entertaining watch
Pop Kaun stars Kunal Kemmu, Rajpal Yadav, Satish Kaushik, Saurabh Shukla, Nupur Sanon, Johny Lever, Chunky Panday and Jamie Lever among others.

The trailer of Disney Plus Hotstar’s new show Pop Kaun was released on Friday as a tribute to actor Satish Kaushik who passed away on Wednesday. The comedy series also stars Kunal Kemmu, Rajpal Yadav, Saurabh Shukla, Nupur Sanon, Johny Lever, Chunky Panday and Jamie Lever among others.
The trailer hints at the plot of Pop Kaun. It is about the character of Kemmu trying to figure out who is his father and all the confusion leads to some laughter. Lever, Yadav and Kaushik all play Kemmu’s father. The show marks the debut of Kriti Sanon’s sister Nupur Sanon who plays Kemmu’s love interest in the series.
Helmed by Farhad Samjhi, Pop Kaun will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from March 17. Talking about the show, the director said in a statement, “After creating multiple movies in the comedy space, I wanted to explore a different format with this genre and bring all the legends of comedy together. With Pop Kaun, the idea was to create a fun family binge-watch show for audiences across generations.”
Kunal Kemmu shared the trailer on Instagram with the caption, “A salute to the legend of comedy, @satishkaushik2178 ji whose work made us smile for years :) #HotstarSpecials #PopKaun – all episodes streaming from 17th March only on @disneyplushotstar.”
As the trailer was unveiled, fans remembered Satish Kaushik. A comment on the trailer read, “I’ll really miss Satish Kaushik sir. He was Legendary. He still tried to leave a smile on our faces and lots of laughter, while bidding his farewell. Much Love.” Another fan wrote, “Finally a comedy movie with probably the best cast of comedians. Will miss you Satish Ji 🥺♥️”.
Satish Kaushik passed away on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack in Gurugram. He was cremated in Mumbai on Thursday.
