While Nitesh Tiwari is currently busy with his upcoming film Ramayana, which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, the filmmaker has expressed his desire to direct Ranbir in another highly anticipated project, Animal Park. In a recent interaction, Nitesh admitted his fondness for the Rockstar actor and also shared his perspective on why classics like Amar Akbar Anthony or Deewar can’t be remade in today’s scenario. Speaking on the YouTube channel Game Changers, Nitesh was given two options—Mirzapur 4 and Animal Park—to choose from for his next directorial venture, and he picked Ranbir’s upcoming film. Explaining his choice, he said, "I will go for Animal Park. I have to choose between two genres which probably I wouldn't do and you have given me only two choices so I am choosing the better and more tempting out of the two, which allows me to get greater performances out and to work with someone who is very dear to me, Ranbir." When asked about films he would like to remake, Nitesh Tiwari expressed interest in reimagining Bollywood classics but acknowledged the challenges in doing so today. "I would like to remake Amar Akbar Anthony or Deewar but I don't think I can cast for it today. Our actors won't get ready. In today's time, it is very difficult to make Amar Akbar Anthony or Deewar." Animal Park is expected to be the sequel to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 directorial Animal. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, was a massive box-office success but sparked debate for its misogynistic tone and grotesque violence. As for Ramayana, the film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. The project also stars Sunny Deol and Yash in key roles.
