‘Life before Priyanka Chopra doesn’t exist’: Nick Jonas shows first message to her, replies if he slid into women’s DMs before

The host asked Nick what he said to her, and Nick replied, “Let me look.” He pulled his phone out of his pocket, as the crowed ooh-ed and aah-ed. They went aww when Nick said that he had taken a screenshot of it. He pulled up his DMs, and showed the message to the camera. “I said something to the effect of, ‘Hey, I know we have a lot of things in common, friends in common, and I think we should meet’. And she right away responded, ‘Nice to meet you, let’s get off DM, let’s go to text. My team might be watching’.”

Nick said that social media and DMs opened up a new world for someone like him, who basically became world famous while he was still in high school. This way, he could meet new people outside work environments. He conceded, “I’m sure there were DMs previously, but the only one that mattered was my wife.”

In a recent appearance on Dax Shepard’s podcast, Priyanka revealed that she was in a relationship when Nick hit her up “When Nick texted me in 2016, slid into my DM and we started chatting, I was at the end of my last long relationship before Nick. I didn’t want to engage as much at the time. I was like 35, he was 25. I put a stop on it in a way because I judged the book by the cover. I said, ‘I wanna settle down. I have been there and done the fun days.’ I was like ready to get serious, not realising my husband was actually a 70-year-old man stuck in a 25-year-old’s body,” she said.

Priyanka and Nick tied the knot in 2018, and they welcomed their first child, daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, in 2022.
