Singer Neha Kakkar recently performed in Melbourne, Australia but her performance led to a lot of backlash as she took the stage three hours after her scheduled time. At the time, a lot of videos from the concert surfaced online where Neha was seen crying on the stage as the audience booed her and expressed their disappointment. Later, Neha and the organiser of the event, Beats Production, presented their side of the story and now, event organisers from Australia, Pace D and Bikram Singh Randhawa, have said that there isn’t much truth to Neha’s claims.

Neha had said that she wasn’t paid for her concert in Melbourne and her team wasn’t provided any hotel, food or water by the organisers. Pace D and Bikram Singh Randhawa, talking to Siddharth Kannan, shared that Neha had two shows with the same company on two consecutive days. Her first show was in Sydney, which was attended by 1500-2000 people, and went well. The second show, which was held the next day, was in Melbourne, which was only attended by 700 people, and it was for this show that she showed up three hours late. “The crowd was very angry at her because they had been waiting for hours,” they said and added that people paid around 300 AUD (approximately Rs 16,000).

They shated that Neha Kakkar refused to perform after looking at the size of the audience and said that she wouldn’t step on the stage until the organsier filled up the venue. “What I got to know from the organiser was that she said that there are just 700 people, so until you fill up the stadium, I won’t perform,” they claimed. On Neha’s claims that there was no sound check, and the organisers didn’t pay the sound engineers, Pace D and Bikram said that before Neha, there was an opening act, so the sound was working fine. “There were opening acts there and everyone performed and all the set up was done. I don’t think what she was saying is true,” they said.

Neha also accused the organisers of not paying her, and making arrangements for hotels, food or water. Pace D and Bikram said that there was a queue of cars there and the hotel was booked. “Where was she staying if there was no hotel? She was traveling in a G Wagon,” they said and added that it is common practice in Australia to pay the artiste in full before they fly to the country. “Even before the artiste flies to Australia, they are fully paid. 100 percent, she was paid in advance, this is something very basic in Australia,” they claimed. They also added that since the crowd did not show up for the show in Melbourne, the organiser had to suffer a loss of 500,000 AUD.

Previously, Neha Kakkar had said, “Do you know that I performed for absolutely free for my Melbourne audience? The organisers ran away with my money and others too. My band was not even given food, hotel, and even water. Do you know our sound check got delayed by hours because the sound vendor was not paid and he refused to put the sound on. And when, after so much delay, our sound check started, I could not reach the venue. We didn’t even know if the concert was happening because the organizers stopped picking up my manager’s calls.”

The organisers claimed that because of the delays caused by Neha, they have been banned from organising shows at certain venues. They even shared a breakdown of all expenses to prove their side of the story.

ED arrests Biswal Tradelink’s MD in fake bank guarantee case, to confront him with Anil Ambani
31 min ago

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Partha Sarathi Biswal, managing director of Biswal Tradelink Private Limited (BTPL), in connection with an alleged fake bank guarantee case. “A probe has revealed that BTPL fraudulently arranged and submitted fake bank guarantees of Rs 68.2 crore along with forged State Bank of India (SBI) endorsements and fabricated confirmations for a Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) tender. For providing this bank guarantee, BTPL received Rs 5.40 crore from Reliance Power Limited,” an official said. Seven days after searching multiple locations in Mumbai linked to Anil Ambani, the ED has summoned the industrialist on August 5 to join the investigation into a money laundering case linked to a multi-crore bank loan fraud involving companies of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. The ED has also issued a lookout circular (LOC) to prevent him from travelling abroad. BTPL was one of the companies where the ED recently conducted searches. Biswal's arrest was made on August 1 and he was produced before a Delhi Court, which sent him to their custody till August 6. "We are planning to confront him with Anil Ambani during questioning and will try to verify some facts," an official said. The ED has initiated its investigation against BTPL based on an FIR registered by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Delhi Police, against the firm, its directors and others, for allegedly providing a fake bank guarantee which was submitted to SECI. “During the investigation, the ED has collected several pieces of evidence and they confirmed the use of fake documents in the name of certain banks and fake email IDs in the name of SBI. Probe has also revealed that BTPL, a small company incorporated in 2019, maintained multiple undisclosed bank accounts and carried out transactions disproportionate to its declared turnover. Many violations of the Companies Act are found, and no statutory records are found at registered addresses, such as books of accounts, shareholders’ registers, etc,” the official said. The probe also revealed that dummy directors were used solely to sign documents, and found at least seven undisclosed bank accounts of the company. “Proceeds of crime, of crores of rupees, have been traced to these accounts,” the official added. A spokesperson for Reliance Power said the ED case related to a bank guarantee. “The company and its subsidiaries acted bona fide and have been a victim of fraud, forgery and a conspiracy. The company has made due disclosure on this to the stock exchanges on November 7, 2024. A criminal complaint in this regard has already been lodged with the Economic Offence Wing of Delhi Police against the third party on October 16, 2024. The due process of law will follow," said the spokesperson.
