Actor Mona Singh changed her trajectory from being a television star to doing supporting roles in movies, starting with 3 Idiots, and most recently in Laal Singh Chaddha. Both of these had the actor sharing the screen with 'Mr Perfectionist' of Bollywood, Aamir Khan. Initially, she felt 'bored' on the set of 3 Idiots since she was not used to long waiting times on a set. So, Aamir had to remind her that it was a film and not a TV show. During an interaction with Galatta Plus, Mona shared, "When I was shooting for 3 Idiots, that was the first time I was working with the entire team and I saw Aamir sir and I was like, 'Oh my god, what is he doing?' We had some 100 rehearsals, and in those rehearsals, he came up with something different every time. As a TV actor, I was not used to rehearsals." The Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi fame recalled feeling "tired" and "bored" and asking the team, "Why are we doing so many rehearsals?' So, Aamir replied, "Mona this is a movie. What are you talking about? This is not a TV show where an episode is going out tomorrow. This movie will release next year. We have to work hard. We will do one scene a day." She added, "I used to get so bored, I was like, 'What am I gonna do?' The DOP used to be lighting for 4-5 hours and things used to go on and on, but then you enjoy the pace you are given." After 3 Idiots, Mona worked with Aamir in Advait Chandan's Laal Singh Chaddha, and like his other co-actors, she has all the good things to say about him. "He is so good with every take, and with every rehearsal, he keeps changing his emotions, his reactions, he just keeps trying something new," said Mona. She continued, "Aamir knows about everything, acting, lighting, direction, everything, you talk about something and he will have something to say, so there's so much to learn from this genius." Mona Singh is currently garnering praise for her portrayal of Bulbul Jauhari in Made In Heaven season two. The series, created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
