Filmmaker Karan Johar, who has given several Bollywood hits both as a producer and a director, recalls his days when he joined hands with Chopra clan’s Aditya Chopra to give the blockbuster hit ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge’ 20 years back.
Karan Johar, who considers Aditya Chopra to be his mentor and the reason for him to be in the film industry, today tweeted:
I joined Aditya Chopra exactly 20 years ago as an Assistant Director on #DDLJ…he is my mentor and the reason I am in the movies today…

‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ director got nostalgic and remembered his journey to the Yash Raj Films office on March 15, 1994. He tweeted:
I remember the journey from my house to the YRF office on the 15th of March,1994…remember wondering if this is the right career choice…

Missing the two important people in his life, Karan said, “I miss my father and Yash uncle tremendously today…Adi and me are blessed to have them look over us constantly…”
Karan Johar’s last directorial venture was ‘Student of the Year’ and partially ‘Bombay Talkies. He has Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor starrer ‘2 States’ coming up under his production banner Dharma Productions.
He will soon be seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet.
