Salman Khan-starrer Sikandar might not have gotten much love from his fans but Iulia Vantur continues to be his fan as she recently shared that she enjoyed the film to the fullest. In a recent interview, Iulia, who also sang a version of “Lag Jaa Gale” for Sikandar, said that she found the movie to be fun and emotional. She also opened up about her bond with Salman and said that he has supported her through many highs and lows.
In a chat with Just Too Film, Iulia was asked about her thoughts about Sikandar and she said, “I watched it. I cried, I laughed as well but I cried more. It’s very emotional, especially the first part. I cried, I couldn’t stop. It’s fun as well. I loved the action.”
“Because once he believes in somebody, he invests in that person. Not money, I am not talking about money. It’s emotional investment, it’s support. It’s important when you don’t have a good day in the recording studio and somebody is telling you, ‘but you have a great voice, keep trying, never give up.’ That’s important,” she shared and added, “Because there were many moments when I doubted and thought that maybe I am not good enough for this.”
In the same chat, Iulia also spoke about the origin of the song “Teri Meri Meri Teri” from Bodyguard and shared that she first sang the original Romanian version of the song at a party where she was asked to sing a song. “They were singing and dancing and they asked me, ‘Sing a Romanian song’ and I was like… ‘Oh my god, what to sing, because they would not understand the lyrics, they don’t know the artist’ but it was the only song that was playing in my head. It was probably meant to be because that song was recreated later and became a number one song. They heard it and they were like ‘what a beautiful song!'” Iulia did not specify who asked her to sing or complimented her singing skills at this party.
Iulia Vantur has been trying to build her career as a singer and has had collaborated with singers like Mika, Yo Yo Honey Singh.
