Ishaan Khatter reveals he doesn’t share ‘typical’ sibling bond with Shahid Kapoor: ‘He is like a father figure…’

Bollywood actors Ishaan Khatterand Shahid Kapoor often give major ‘sibling goals’ on social media. From taking trips together to making fun reels, the duo shares a great bond. Ishaan, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Pippa, has opened up about how his bond with Shahid is not ‘typical’ and added that he is like a father figure in his life.

In an interview with Etimes, Ishaan said that in every relationship, especially the one with siblings, there will be friction. The actor added that he and Shahid do not have a ‘typical’ or ‘traditional’ sibling relationship because Shahid is 15 years older to him. He said that to have that kind of friendship and banter, siblings should be closer in age.

Ishaan Khatter said that Shahid Kapoor is the one who is constantly there for him and said that the Jab We Met actor is like a ‘father figure’ in his life. Ishaan said that while there is a line of respect between the two, there has been more friendship ever since Ishaan has grown into an adult. He added that Shahid is one of the ‘predominant male figures’ in his life and said that he is ‘internally beautiful’.

Earlier in an interview with Pinkvilla, Ishaan had said, “I call him (Shahid Kapoor) ‘Baba Sasha’, but it’s who he is and he is that one person in my life who is like a consistent male figure who has always kept me in check. I think he has felt very parental towards me also because he changed my diapers. He was nearly 15 years old when I was born and he didn’t have an elder sibling. So he was that sibling for me.”

Pippa also stars Mrunal Thakur and will release on November 10 on Amazon Prime Video.
