Abhishek Bachchan strongly feels that it’s unfair to stereotype actors based on the roles they do especially comedy. The Housefull 3 actor said that it’s derogatory to classify actors as comedians just because they excel in their comic performances on screen.

“Actors are actors. Derogatory to classify then as comedians. Any actor who does comedy is an actor and not a comedian, ” said Abhishek at the press conference of Housefull 3.

Agreeing with Abhishek was his co-star Akshay Kumar who said actors who perform comedy are those he looks up to. “Slapstick comedy is very difficult to do on screen. Don’t look down at slapstick comedy. I look up to actors who perform comic roles. Actors like Charlie Chaplin, Bean (Atkinson), Jack Black.”

Chunkey Pandey who was present at the press conference opined that a comedy film should receive an Oscar to gain respectability in the eyes of masses.
