Superstar Amitabh Bachchan is celebrating his 81st birthday today. The ‘Shahenshah of Bollywood’ celebrated the occasion with a midnight meet and greet with fans outside his Mumbai house. While glimpses from the celebration were shared online on paparazzi accounts, Big B’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda shared an inside photo from the actor’s midnight birthday party.

Navya’s photo shows her posing alongside her grandfather, her grandmother Jaya Bachchan, cousin Aaradhya Bachchan and brother Agastya Nanda. “Happy birthday Nana,” wrote Navya with a heart emoji. Navya also shared a selfie with Amitabh.

His daughter Shweta Bachchan also shared a photo collage as he hugged her dad. “Happy 81st Papa💓 Big shoes ( and hugs ) no one can ever manage to fill 🤗,” wrote Shweta.

In clips doing the rounds online, Amitabh can be seen expressing gratitude to the fans who gathered outside his house at midnight.

In the background of the clip, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, along with Aaradhya and Navya, were seen capturing the moment as the megastar grated his fans. Aishwarya also got on a video call with her husband Abhishek Bachchan, who was away shooting.

Sharing the observation on X, a fan pointed out that Aishwarya was on video call during the meet and greet. Abhishek dropped a comment on the post, and confirmed that she was talking to him: “Yup, wifey showing me what’s going on.”
