During an interview with SCREEN, Dhurandhar actor Danish Pandor opened up about his experience of working with Akshaye Khanna and Ranveer Singh. He also reacted to film landing in a row.
Dhurandhar actor Danish Pandor reacted to the film's controversyDespite several controversies and mixed reviews, Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has been breaking several box office records everyday. The Ranveer Singh starrer has become the talk of the town since its release on December 5. In an interview with SCREEN, Dhurandhar’s actor Danish Pandor, who played Akshaye Khanna’s younger brother Uzair Baloch, opened up about his experience of shooting the spy-thriller drama. He also reacted to the film’s much talked-about controversy, which made headlines earlier.
Addressing the several negative debates around Dhurandhar, Danish said, “There is always light at the end of the tunnel. We had conviction about the film. More than anyone else, Aditya sir knew what his vision was and how he wanted to present it. He was very sure about that. He knew that the moment it will reach the audience, they will love it and that’s what happened. Barring all the negative reviews and things revolving around, it didn’t impactthe wave of Dhurandhar. It has come like a storm and people are enjoying it.”
‘After Akshaye Khanna danced on Fa9la…’

Akshaye Khanna’s character of Rehman Dakait, a powerful Pakistani crime lord and his dance in his entry song Fa9la is going viral on the internet. Talking about his experience of shooting the scene with him, the actor shared, “When we were shooting the song, we didn’t expect such a response at that point of time. But when he performed, that was a beautiful moment. It was quite unexpected, he did it very beautifully. It was all his step that he had done at that very moment. Everybody felt that it was amazing, too good.”

He further added, “Vijay Ganguly was choreographing the entire sequence. The dance and all wasn’t planned. The dancers were rehearsing on the choreography, and we all were just sitting together at that time when Aditya sir was explaining the scene. He just stood and asked if he could dance and the moment the shot arrived, we all started applauding after that. People loved the whole build-up of the scene, the entire atmosphere.”
‘Ranveer Singh a delight to work with’

Danish also called working with Ranveer Singh a ‘delight’ and expressed, “He has a positive and beautiful energy, it is contagious. It is a delight to work with such a fabulous actor. He is so meticulous about his craft and engrossed in the process. He is very much into the scene every time, and does his homework entirely. He prefers to work more on details. It matters a lot and I have said it a lot of times – he is a great listener.”
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar as emerged as box office hit and is already eyeing the Rs 200 crore mark within six days of its release. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. Earlier, it faced controversy over its story as Major Mohit Sharma’s mother claimed that the film is inspired by her son’s life without giving him credit. Major Mohit Sharma was a soldier, who also received the Ashoka Chakra.
