Akshaye Khanna: A Versatile Career Spanning Decades Akshaye Khanna, son of veteran actor Vinod Khanna, has carved a distinct niche in Hindi cinema known for his versatility and understated intensity. Born March 28, 1975, his career began with Himalay Putra (1997), followed by a breakout role in J. P. Dutta's Border (1997), earning him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Khanna's filmography showcases a diverse range of roles. He achieved commercial success with films like Taal (1999), Dil Chahta Hai (2001) - which garnered him the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor - Humraaz (2002), Hungama (2003), and Hulchul (2004). His performances in Deewangee (2002), Gandhi, My Father (2007), and Aakrosh (2010) received significant critical acclaim. After a brief hiatus, he returned with impactful supporting roles in Dishoom (2016), Mom (2017), and Ittefaq (2017). His recent work highlights a resurgence in his career. His portrayal of a defence lawyer in Section 375 (2019) earned him praise, and his role as a cop in the blockbuster Drishyam 2 (2022) stands as his highest-grossing film to date.
