TNPSC recruitment 2016: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 5,451 posts in various categories under TNPSC Group 4 services for direct recruitment. The last date to apply is on or before September 8, 2016 through tnpscexams.in. The examination is scheduled to be held on November 6, 2016.

Junior Assistant (non-security)- 2345 posts
Junior Assistant (security)- 121 posts
Bill Collector- 8 posts
Field Surveyor- 532 posts
Draftsman- 327 posts
Typist- 1714 posts
Steno-Typist- 404 posts

The candidates will be selected on the basis of interview/ exam conducted by the organisation.

Educational qualification:
Junior assistant (non-security), bill collector (security), Field surveyor, draftsman: The candidate must have a minimum general educational qualification which is SSLC pass out or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies or to College Courses of studies.

Typist and steno-typist: The candidate must have a minimum general educational qualification which is SSLC pass out or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies or to College Courses of studies.

The candidate must have passed the government technical examination in typewriting.

Exam pattern: The examination duration will be of three hours in which objective type questions will be asked. The maximum qualifying marks is 300 while the minimum is 90 marks.

There will be two sets of question papers and a candidate can choose either of them. The paper 1 will contain three subjects which includes general studies (75 questions), aptitude test (25 questions) and general Tamil (100 questions).

The paper 2 will contain three subjects which includes general studies (75 questions), aptitude test (25 questions) and general English (100 questions).
