TNPSC Group 1 Results 2025: Prelims result out; 1,843 candidates qualify for Main exams

Shortlisted candidates are required to pay an examination fee of Rs 200 to appear for the TNPSC Group 1 Main Examination 2025. They are also required to upload scanned copies of supporting documents for the claims made in their online application between September 3 and 12.

TNPSC Group 1 Prelims Results 2025: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has declared the Group 1 Preliminary Examination Results 2025. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check and download their results from the official website, tnpsc.gov.in.

The preliminary examination was conducted on June 15, 2025, across 38 district centres and 6 taluk centres. Out of 2,42,829 candidates who registered, 1,81,422 appeared for the test. As per the Commission’s notice, following the stipulated rules, a total of 1,843 candidates have been shortlisted for Main exam round.

Step 1: Visit the official website at tnpsc.gov.in

Step 2: Click on the link for “TNPSC Group 1 Results 2025” on the homepage

Step 3: The result PDF will appear on the screen

Step 4: Download the PDF and check for your details

Step 5: Keep a printed copy for future reference

The TNPSC clarified that the preliminary examination serves only as a screening test, and marks secured in this stage will not be counted for the final merit list.

The selection process will be completed in three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview. The final merit will be determined based on the marks obtained in Main Examination Papers II, III, IV, along with the Interview, in accordance with the rules of reservation.
