Kalamkaval box office collection day 1: Even before Mammootty’s latest crime thriller Kalamkaval hit theatres, the film had already entered the record books by securing the third-highest advance booking numbers in Mollywood this year, trailing only behind Mohanlal’s Empuraan and Thudarum. Now, according to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has delivered an impressive opening day performance as well, collecting an estimated Rs 4.75 crore. With more than 900 shows nationwide, Kalamkaval recorded an overall day-one occupancy of 49.29%.

The film’s occupancy pattern reflected strong audience interest throughout the day. It opened with a robust 40.16% turnout for morning shows, dipped slightly to 34.56% in the afternoon, climbed to 54.54% during the evening shows, and peaked at 67.89% by night. Region-wise, Bengaluru hosted the highest number of screenings with 172 shows but registered a modest 34% occupancy. Kochi, with 164 shows, delivered the film’s strongest regional performance, posting an impressive 75.75% occupancy. Thiruvananthapuram followed with 159 shows and a healthy 45.5% turnout.
