The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education released both Class 10 and Class 12 results on April 24 in 2024, while in 2023, the results were declared later, on May 25 for both classes. Last year, Aditya Humane and Tanishka Kulshreshtha topped the Class 12 exams, and girls performed better than boys. The total passing percentage of girls was 68.42 per cent, whereas boys got 60.54 per cent.
Over the past five years, the performance of students in both MP Board Class 10 and Class 12 has seen notable fluctuations. In Class 10, the pass percentage peaked at 100% in 2021 due to mass promotions amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Apart from that exceptional year, results have been inconsistent—ranging from 68.81% in 2020 to a low of 58.10% in 2024, indicating a downward trend overall. Similarly, Class 12 results showed a perfect 100% pass rate in 2021, again due to the pandemic.
In the surrounding years, pass percentages varied: from 68.81% in 2020 to 72.72% in 2022, followed by a dip to 64.48% in 2024. This pattern suggests instability in academic outcomes post-pandemic, with a recent decline in success rates.
In the MP board 2024 exams, as many as 344 students were withheld, including 230 for boys and 114 for girls.
In the MP board result last year, a total of 3,05,019 students achieved first division marks, comprising 133,357 boys and 171,662 girls. In the second division, there were 169,843 students, including 89,392 boys and 80,451 girls. In the third division, there were a total of 2,145 students with 1,351 boys and 794 girls.
Last year, a total of 1,00,377 students appeared for the MP board 2024 Class 10 supplementary exams. The MP board Class 10 supplementary exams started June 9.
On March 28, the Rajya Shiksha Kendra Madhya Pradesh (RSKMP) announced the results for Class 5 and Class 8 examinations for the academic year 2024-25. Students who appeared for these exams can access their results on the official website – rskmp.in. This year, the overall pass percentage saw a significant improvement, with 92.70% of Class 5 students and 90.02% of Class 8 students clearing the exams.
