ICAI CA Result September 2025 Declared: Over 11,000 qualify as CAs; meet the toppers

According to ICAI, the pass percentages varied significantly across different levels and groups of the CA examinations. In the CA Final Examination, Group I candidates achieved a pass percentage of 24.66%, while Group II recorded 25.26%.

Students who appeared for both groups simultaneously in the Final examination secured a pass rate of 16.23%. For the CA Intermediate Examination, the institute reported that Group I had a pass percentage of 9.43%, whereas Group II performed considerably better with 27.14% students clearing the examination. 

Candidates appearing for both Intermediate groups together achieved a pass rate of 10.06%. The CA Foundation Examination, as per ICAI data, recorded an overall pass percentage of 14.78%.

Who are this year’s CA toppers?

In the CA Foundation September 2025 examination, L Rajalakshmi from Chennai secured the All India First Rank. In the CA Intermediate level, Neha Khanwani from Jaipur emerged as the All India Topper, while in the CA Final examination, Mukund Agiwal from Dhamnod achieved the first rank nationwide, leading this year’s merit list across all three levels.

The CA Final Examination held in September 2025 recorded varying levels of participation across different groups. As per ICAI’s analysis, Group I of the Final examination saw 51,955 candidates appearing, while Group II had 32,273 candidates taking the test. 

Additionally, 16,800 candidates opted to appear for both groups simultaneously, bringing the total admitted strength to 81,852 students across 458 examination centers.

The CA Intermediate Examination in September 2025 attracted a large number of candidates across both groups. According to the institute’s data, Group I of the Intermediate level witnessed 93,074 candidates appearing for the examination, while Group II recorded 69,768 candidates.

A total of 36,398 students appeared for both groups together, with the overall admitted strength reaching 1,59,779 candidates across 548 examination centers throughout the country.

ICAI data reveals that out of the total admitted strength of 1,12,287 candidates, 14,609 students successfully cleared the Foundation level examination, achieving an overall pass percentage of 14.78%.

ICAI CA Foundation, Inter, Final Sept 2025 Results: Male vs female performance overview

The CA Foundation Examination results for September 2025 revealed a marginal performance difference between male and female candidates. According to ICAI’s gender-wise analysis, male candidates demonstrated a slightly higher pass percentage compared to their female counterparts.

Out of 51,120 male candidates who appeared for the Foundation examination, 8,046 successfully cleared it, achieving a pass rate of 15.74%. Female candidates, on the other hand, recorded 47,707 appearances with 6,563 passing the examination, resulting in a pass percentage of 13.76%.

Overall, male students outperformed female students by approximately 2 percentage points at the Foundation level, according to the CA institute data.
