All government-run schools up to class 8 will remain closed here for the next three days and reopen on January 23 in view of the intense cold conditions in the region. District Magistrate Vimal Kumar Sharma said that an order in this regard has been passed covering all government and aided schools. ALSO READ: Delhi Govt suspends primary school classes due to cold weather The Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) has been instructed to ensure compliance with the order as children are susceptible to being taken ill in the cold wave, he added. An advisory has also been issued to private and public schools' managements to go for a "three-day closure" as a precautionary move.
