CSEET July 2024: Exam checklist, admit card details

CSEET 2024 July Exam: Candidates must log in to the test portal 30 minutes prior to the start time.

The  Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) conducted its exam on July 6 for the July session of the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET). The CSEET July 2024 exam was conducted through the remote proctored mode and not on test centres. The duration of the exam is two hours. 

Candidates can appear for the test using their laptop or desktop from home or any other convenient place. They are not allowed to appear in CSEET by using mobile phone, tablet or palmtop. The MCQ pattern will be followed in the question paper. 

CSEET July 2024 exam pattern

The break-up of marks of subjects are:

– Business Communication – 35 questions for 50 marks

– Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning – A- Legal Aptitude (30 Marks) B- Logical Reasoning (20 Marks) – 35 questions for 50 marks

– Economic and Business Environment – A- Economics (25 Marks) B- Business Environment (25 Marks)  – 35 questions for 50 marks

– Current Affairs and Quantitative Aptitude – A- Current Affairs (30 Marks) B- Quantitative Aptitude (20 Marks)  – 35 questions for 50 marks

CSEET 2024: Checklist

– Candidates should keep CSEET admit card, any identity card issued by government departments (passport, driving licence, PAN card, UID aadhaar card, voter card) with them for verification by the remote proctors. No other documents will be allowed.

– Candidates should download, install and check Safe Exam Browser (SEB) Lite on their desktop or laptop beforehand and shall not be uninstalled till the test has completed or submitted successfully.

– They should ensure that they have a stable internet connection and fully charged laptop or power backup enabled desktop.

The timing of the exam will be according to that given on the admit card.

– Candidates must log in to the test portal 30 minutes prior to the start time. No one can start the test after 15 minutes from the beginning of the test and candidates cannot finish before 90 minutes have passed from the start.

– The language of the CSEET question paper will be English only

– It is necessary for candidates to score at least 40 per cent in each paper and 50 per cent overall to pass the CSEET.

– There will be no negative marking for wrong answers

– No use of headphones, earphones, calculator, reference books, papers, pens, pencil and notepads are allowed during the exam

– Candidate shall be seated  in such a manner that his face and seating posture are visible to the proctor at all times during the CSEET

– External camera, webcam and earphone, headphone can be used in case audio or video facility is not available in the system.

– Candidates will not be allowed to leave the test until the submission. No break shall be permitted between the test

– The result of candidates will be withheld if found violating any of the instructions

The ICSI has also announced the system requirements which include operating system (Windows 10 or above), RAM (8 GB or above), network bandwidth of 5 Mbps continuous connectivity, webcam with minimum resolution of 640×480 and mic.
