
CBSE Class 12 results 2019: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools have performed all time best with the overall pass percentage of 98.54 per cent. Last year, the pass percentage stood at 97.8 per cent. “Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has scored 98.54% success rate in CBSE class XII results 2019 against 97.78% last year. This pass percentage of KVS is all time high and it has once again topped the category of all institutions for the second consecutive year,” read the official release.
Meanwhile, the CBSE has begun the helpline service for parents and students to deal with exam stress and issues related to the result and admission process. The service will remain active till May 16, 2019 from 8 am to 10 pm. Candidates can check all about the free post-result counselling service by CBSE here.

This year, a total of 64,519 students appeared in the examination, of which 63,277 students cleared the examination successfully securing a pass percentage of 98.54 percentile.

Girls have outperformed boys in the Class 12th results, but among KVS schools, the boys have outshone girls. “A total of 32,640 boys passed the examination, while 30,586 girls cleared the examination successfully,” the notification mentioned.
The top rank was shared between two girls, Hansika Shuka and Karishma Arora both of them scored 499/500 marks. Shukla, a Humanities student have got 99 in English, while full (100) marks in other subjects (Political Science, Psychology, History, and Hindustani vocals). The 17-year-old from DPS Ghaziabad wants to pursue Psychology from Delhi University. “Psychology interests me and I would prefer to study at Lady Shri Ram College.” The topper aims for the civil service examination. “My goal is to become an IAS or IFS officer as I always keen to serve the nation.” Read her preparation strategy here.
Aishwarya Sinha from KV Raebareli secured the second position all over the country in CBSE class 12 exams. She shared this rank with two other girls. Aishwarya scored 498/500 marks (99.6 per cent) in humanities.
Abhishek Narayan Singh from KV Sector 4, RK Puram, New Delhi and Siddharth Roy from KV Chirimiri, Koriya Chhattisgarh has secured the third position in the category of ‘Child with special need’. Both of them secured 484 marks. The pass percentage at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) touched at 96.62 per cent, while 96.06 per cent in CTSA, 88.49 per cent in government aided, 87.17 per cent in government and 82.59 per cent in independent schools.

The CBSE Thursday declared the result for the class 12 board exams within a record time of 28 days. The exams were concluded on March 4. While this is a new record, the board aims to keep this as a standard practice.

In order to achieve this feat, the board involved more teachers this year, as compared to previous years. CBSE chairperson Ankita Karwal said, “Over 1.75 lakh teachers were involved at different levels of the examination including invigilators, observers etc. This is a 40 per cent increase from last year.” She added that the board also increased the number of trained people to upload the data. Over 1 lakh evaluators were involved in the process this year. The HRD Minister also congratulated CBSE for declaring result in record time.
