CBSE Class 10th, 12th board exam dates released

Last year, the CBSE datesheets for Class 10 and 12 exams for 2023 were released on December 29, 2022. For Class 10, exams were held on February 15, 16, 17, 20, 24, 27 and March 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 21. For Class 12, exams were conducted on February 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28 and March 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 28, 29, 31 and April 1, 3, 4, 5.

The dates of competitive exams such as JEE Main and NEET were taken into consideration while drafting the timetable last year.

A year before that, for CBSE board exams 2022, the datesheet was released around October 18. The datesheet was released early as the exams were scheduled to begin from November 30 for Class 10 and for Class 12 they were scheduled to begin from December 1.

In board exams 2022, to avoid learning loss of students, subjects offered by CBSE were divided into two parts — i.e. major subjects and minor subjects: As major subjects are offered by almost all the affiliated schools, hence, exams of these subjects were conducted by fixing date sheet as done earlier. The second-term examination were conducted in March-April 2022.
