UG, PG Admission 2024: In addition to three rounds, one spot admission round will also be there (Express image/ representative)The universities in Assam will start accepting applications for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes from May 27. Admission for FYUGP (four-year UG programme), FYIMP (Five-year integrated Master Programme) and FVIPGP (Five-year integrated PG programme) either through CUET or non-CUET mode will be provisioned only through the common admission portal – assamadmission.samarth.ac.in.
Students will get six options to select programmes either in the same higher educational institute or different of their choice.
Students will have to mark preferences against the options of programmes. The colleges and universities will next release the merit list according to the admission rules.
For non-CUET mode of admission, students can select programmes between May 27 and June 2, and the first merit list will be released on June 10. Three merit lists and one spot admission round is planned for non-CUET mode of admission.

For admission under CUET mode, students will be able to select their programmes on July 1 and 2. While there will be three merit lists, the first list is set to be released on July 9.
Classes for the first semester across all the colleges and universities will start on August 16 irrespective of whether it is CUET or non-CUET mode.
