Assam Board AHSEC HS Class 12 Result 2023: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) will soon declare the HS or Class 12 results for 2023. Once released, students who appeared for the exam can check the results through the official website— ahsec.nic.in.

Last year’s was the best for Science stream which was unusual as usually commerce stream recorded the highest pass percentage in pre-Covid years. In 2022, the AHSEC declared the Class 12 boards result on June 27 at 9 am. Arts stream recorded an overall pass percentage of 83.48 per cent, Commerce 87.26 per cent and Science 92.19 per cent. Girls performed better than boys in all three streams— Science, Commerce and Arts.

The results were declared on July 31 at 9 am in 2021. A total of 2,49,812 students appeared for the exam, out of which 38,430 were from Science stream, 18,443 were from Commerce stream and 1,91,855 students were from Arts stream and 1081 were from Vocational course. Marks were given on the basis of internals, assignments, and past year performances. The overall passing percentage was 98.93 per cent.

In 2020, Commerce was the best stream with the highest pass percentage (88.18 per cent) for three consecutive years. AHSEC’s science stream scored the second spot with the pass percentage of 88.06 while in arts only 78.28 per cent students could pass

This HS result is best in the past three years for all three streams. Arts stream — despite showing good performance in the past three years — 78.28 per cent in 2020, 75.14 per cent in 2019 and 74.68 per cent in 2018, still remains the lowest performer of the year. In commerce, the pass percentage jumped from 84.64 per cent in 2018 to 87.59 per cent in 2019 and 88.18 per cent in 2020. For the science stream, too the jump has been from 85.74 per cent in 2018, 86.59 per cent in 2019, and 88.06 per cent in 2020.
