Top 10 most valuable companies in the world 2025: Multinational corporations are now the backbone of the global economy, according to the 2025 Hurun Global 1000 released on Monday.

The report ranks the 1,000 most valuable companies worldwide — up from 500 — and highlights that the top 10 alone are worth $26 trillion—roughly equal to the combined stock market value of mainland China and Hong Kong.

Listed companies make up 90 per cent of the list; the report ranks them according to their market capitalisation.

Non-listed companies, including OpenAI, ByteDance, and SpaceX, make up the remaining 10 per cent and are ranked based on their valuations.

While most companies are now engaged in competition to establish themselves as the most valuable entities on the global stage, Nvidia rose two spots to No. 1, overtaking Microsoft as the world’s most valuable company in 2025.

Nvidia has a market cap of $4.6 trillion, largely driven by a 49 per cent rise in demand for AI chips, the report stated.

Apple retained second place at $4 trillion, while Microsoft slipped two spots to third despite growing 13 per cent to $3.8 trillion.
