DAYS AFTER Tejashwi Yadav-led RJD blamed some Bhojpuri singers as one of the reasons for the party’s loss in the Bihar elections, claiming they released songs which either projected an aggressive image of the party or showed it in poor light, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has cautioned his party’s cultural cell workers against creating any “Bihar-like” song. According to a party member, Yadav cautioned SP workers as certain songs released in support of the RJD during the Bihar polls proved damaging for the Opposition alliance. SP’s cultural cell frequently releases video songs in Yadav’s support and these are played at his press conferences and party events. On Saturday, when Yadav allowed a music video of an office-bearer to be played at the party office, he cautioned that the maker would be responsible if there was any “political error”.
