Once again we have reached that time of the year when the entire wardrobe needs to be rearranged! Winter is settling into the city and this time,it is accompanied by the nonchalant blending of outfits and vibrant hues.
We are back this year with an assortment of V-necked pull-overs in zesty shades, formal sweaters in pastel colours, woollen and cotton textured jackets in electrifying tincture and many more. Sleeveless sporty jackets are the hot favourite amongst the youth during this season! says Neil Agarwal, agent,Allen Solly.
Swati Tiwari, customer relation executive,Pune Central,University road, picks Tommy Hilfiger to outline the new styles and trends in winterwear. She says,The brand is offering bright coloured jackets, corduroy jackets, denim jackets and zippers! Also, long baggy sweaters in bright shades of orange and green,pull-overs and roll-up sleeved sweaters are quite a rage.
This winter, the impassive little sweaters can be replaced with oversized cardigans hitting anywhere from below the hip to the knee; these funky oversized sweaters can be pulled off with slimmer bottoms, fitted jeans or leggings tucked into tall boots.
Scullers is quite the trendsetter this season with its semi-waist coats in cotton or woollen fabrics. We have full-sleeved jackets in cotton satin fabric, and cable knit full sleeved cardigans in acrylic fabric – these can be worn with broad subtle belts as formal wear. Even high necked, full sleeved tunics and V-necked short sleeved sweaters are very popular this year. Lastly, stripper cardigans are in fashion this year, says Deepa Muthu, customer service executive,Pune Central,University road.
While shopping for sweaters, shoppers might want to pick up shades in powdery pastels and blusher, like ivory, beige, pink, lavender and turquoise. Moreover, dark coloured knee-length cardigans with broad buttons, sported with well fitted denims can make one look as fashionable as ever! Denims can also be paired with blazers in woollen fabric to give an extra edgy and sassy look.
Likewise, fur collared tunics in woollen fabric, threaded yarn styled tunics embedded with geometric patterns and single-tone cotton tunics paired with tights and broad sequenced belts are the new fad.
