Squash: Jhangra wins Pune Open

Naveen Jhangra beat Mahesh Mangaonkar in the final to lift the Men's title at the Pune Open Squash Championships played at the Poona club squash courts.

Naveen Jhangra beat Mahesh Mangaonkar in the final to lift the Men’s title at the Pune Open Squash Championships played at the Poona club squash courts.

In the finals Jhangra established his superiority,defeating Mangaonkar 10-12,11-9,1-11,12-10,11-9 in one of the best matches of the tournament.

Mohanish Sawant lifted a creditable doubles crown by winning the 35 + and 40 + titles. In the 35+ event Sawant defeated Rohit Thawani 8-11,11-6,11-6,11-9,while in the 40+ he beat Col Ashun Bahl 11-4,11-9,

11-9. Col Bahl however claimed the Over 45 crown accounting for Col Lalit Agnihotri 11-9,11-8,9-11,8-11,11-9.
