Artist’s best
The city boasts of talent,right from scientists to artists. One such artist who won laurels for the nation is Jayesh Sachdev who went international to exhibit his vibrant art. Jayesh is a city based pop and contemporary artist who shot to fame with his highly acclaimed Raja Ravi Verma Pop renditions and his Nirvana series of Buddha paintings that have been showcased at an exhibition in New York. This young artist’s international credibility got him two huge exhibitions in New York and Paris in the coming months. The artwork of this Indian talent was appreciated by noted international celebrities. This show also gives Jayesh the opportunity to co-exhibit his works along with iconic French artist Olivier Urman. Talking about his latest exhibition Sachdev says that his series titled “Four Skin”,an extension of his earlier series titled “A Question of Beauty” is an amalgamation of the arts,a series of mixed media on canvas works that incorporate various verticals of art including fashion,photography,Digital Arts and Fine arts.

Exploring history
The adventure continues to thrill with a hint of history with a one-day forest trek to Thanale Buddhist Caves near Pali on September 20. The trekking venue is one with historic importance having 2200-year-old caves associated with the Maurya dynasty. It is one of the least explored historic areas having 20-25 caves in a row. National Education Foundation (NEF) organizes the trek with a fee of Rs. 450,which includes transport,breakfast,evening snacks and innumerous fun activities. Historic experts would be present to provide information regarding the place and the trek would undertake through forest areas. The registrations for the trek are on and interested candidates must assemble at the NEF office at 25,Purandare Building,Parvati by 5.45 am.
