Culturally speakingOn October 10,the Asia Multiculture Festival was organised by Art Circle (Nirmitee) and Foreign Students Forum,Nowrosjee Wadia College,to highlight the message of Asia arising and to amalgamate different cultures of Asia. Students presented various dances from their respective states in India and other Asian Countries. A seminar - 'Asia Speaks' was also held as part of the Asia Arising show which focused on how Asia can come together culturally and economically. A film titled Vision Asia was also screened and it showcased the beauty and prosperity of Asian countries. The festival concluded with different melodies by Asian students. Some of the eminent personalities felicitated with the 'Spirit of Asia Honour' were Pyarelal Choudhary,Meghraj Bhonsale,Madhavi Vaidya,Vivek Kudale,Mukund Kamlakar,Balasaheb Argade-Patil,Rahul Ghorpade,Anita Katariya and Bal Bharaskar. The event was attended by State Home Minister Ramesh Bagwe,Dr Bhagwan Thakur,Meher Irani and Shreekant Malegaonkar. A glitzy endThe Pune Racing Season 2010 will come to its end today with the grand closing ceremony as is the traditional practice. The O Racing Awards will be held at the race course between 1 and 5 pm wherein the achievers of the racing season will be felicitated. So,the entire afternoon will be one big party hosted by Oxford Properties,and actors Jackie Shroff and Sunil Shetty will up the glamour quotient.
