Apart from Salt,one of the most important ingredients is Turmeric,as it gives all food a nice colour and also helps kill germs and impurities in it.
Which method of cooking is the healthiest?
According to me,the traditional style of cooking,done over a slow flame,is the healthiest method,because it helps retain the nutritional value of the food.
Which cuisine do you personally prefer?
I prefer Gujarati cuisine. I like it for the mix of sweet and spicy khathameetha flavours that most dishes have.
Do you think Puneites experiment with their food?
Traditional Puneites who have been living in the old city area are not very open to experiments with food and tend to be very brand loyal. However,the younger crowd,which has come into the city due to the IT boom and for educational purposes,are very open about food choices and,every now and then,look out for new joints.
Which dish can most aptly be called the representative of Indian cuisine?
Any rice or roti dish can represent Indian cuisine as the same is used in every cuisine across the country.
