Tissot,the Swiss watch brand launched the Tissot Perpetual Calendar at the shop Just in Time on FC Road on Friday. Producer Mahesh Manjrekar,actors Jitendra Joshi,Siddhartha Jadhav and Veena Jamkar from the Marathi movie,Kutumb were present at the launch. The new Tradition collection combines modern and vintage elements to give an elegant look and excellent comfort to the wearer. Tissot is part of the famous watch comnglomerate,Swatch.

Poona Music Society is hosting a piano recital by Neville Bharucha at the Mazda Hall on August 26. On Sunday,he will play music by Bach,Mozart,Chopin,Liszt and other classic composers. The concert begins at 630 pm and is open and free for all those who are interested. The 20-year-old Bharucha has been playing the piano since he was four. His talent is not limited to classical music and he is also part of the live music support for Liela Alvares’ much acclaimed Broadway musicals. He has played in Bangalore and toured with them playing in Goa,Chennai and Mangalore.

The second season of McDowell’s No 1 Karaoke World Championship will begin with trials across 15 cities in India,including Pune. With acclaimed celebrities and professional singers as judges,the competition will have both,a solo and a McDowell’s No. 1 Karaoke Friendzy Round which gives a chance to a group of friends to accompany the ultimate participants. The world finale of the event will take place in November in Finlamnd. Winners not onlt get a chance to travel to Finland,but they also have the chance to cut an album.
