PFC signs Santosh Trophy star

The city’s only professional football club,Pune FC (PFC),has signed the 2009 Santosh Trophy player of the tournament – P Muthu.

Chirag Tanna,head of operations,Pune FC,said that the 32-year-old striker from Chennai has been playing in the Santosh trophy for the last eight years continuously and also won the player of the tournament for the same,which was held at Chennai this year.

The 5 feet 7 inches tall player represented the AGA Club Chennai for 10 years he will be making his debut at the I-league.

Tanna added that Muthu had joined the team on Thursday in Goa and there is a possibility of him playing the match on Saturday against sporting club the Goa.
