Man arrested for kidnapping

The Chinchwad police on Tuesday arrested a man for allegedly kidnapping a minor daughter of a woman with whom he had an affair. The suspect,Vinayak Maruti Mane,is resident of Badlapur. Police said Mane was in love with a woman who later got married to another man. The woman had come to Chinchwad to visit her sister four days ago. Mane allegedly wanted the woman to stay with him but she refused. He allegedly kidnapped her daughter on Sunday morning. The woman lodged a complaint at Chinchwad police station. Investigation revealed that Mane had taken the girl to Thane. Police teams launched a search and nabbed him at Thane railway station. The girl was rescued and later reunited with her mother. He was produced in Pimpri court which remanded him in police custody for three days. ENs
