The Investigating Officer (IO) in the case, Assistant Sub-Inspector Balbir Singh, said Inderjeet was working as an accountant with a private company and his car was yet to be recovered. “We are working on some leads we shall soon solve the case,” said the IO.
Two of the three people accused of allegedly kidnapping a 11-year-old boy for Rs 10 lakh ransom earlier this month, have been arrested by the police at Bhopura intersection on Saturday night after an encounter in which a police officer and one of the accused was injured.
The accused, who works as a tourist car driver, lured them with Rs 500 and took them in his car. He then took them to a quarry in nearby Turbhe where he asked the victim’s brother to stand near the car and took the girl to an isolated spot.
